CELEBRATING 30 YEARS
Originally home to Oklahoma City’s premier automobile dealerships in the 1920s, Automobile Alley has become one of the city’s most vibrant destinations while preserving its historic character and architectural heritage. This video reflects on the partnerships, vision, and investment that made the district what it is today — and the opportunities that lie ahead.
Automobile Alley is one of the six districts managed by the Downtown OKC Partnership and is part of the Downtown Business Improvement District.
This mini-documentary, produced in partnership with One Set Studio, explores how a corridor of vacant automobile dealerships transformed into a thriving district known for its iconic neon signs, locally owned businesses, restaurants, public art, and historic architecture. Hear firsthand from the community leaders, business owners, and visionaries who helped shape Automobile Alley over the past three decades.
As the Automobile Alley Association celebrates its 30th anniversary, the district is also entering an exciting new chapter. With continued residential growth, new restaurants, retail, office investment, and plans to redevelop the historic Magnolia Building into Automobile Alley’s first hotel, the district is moving closer to becoming a true 24-hour neighborhood where people can live, work, dine, shop, and stay.
