Opening reception | Descendants of the Black 1000

Join us for the opening of Descendants of the Black 1000: Flight from Oklahoma Black Towns to Canada, featuring the work of Canadian artists Donna Paris and David Ofori Zapparoli, whose collaborative project foregrounds untold stories that trace the historical movement of Black communities over time. Enjoy light bites and a cash bar, and hear the artists discuss how this exhibition evolved from their larger project, Black Threads of the Canadian Tapestry.
